Wick Helper for 20cl Candle Jars — Centring Tool

Wonky wicks ruin good candles. The Wick Helper is a two-part tool that takes the guesswork out of centring — it places the wick where it should be and holds it there while the wax sets.

It's a jar-specific tool. The Wick Holder Ring sits flush on the jar rim, and the Wick Placement Tube slots through it to guide the wick straight down to the base of the jar. Once the wick tab is bonded, you lift the tube out and leave the ring in place. The wick stays centred and upright through the pour and the early set.

Designed for candle makers running repeat batches who want consistent results without fiddling with chopsticks, clothes pegs, or centring stickers.

How it works

Load the wick into the Placement Tube — metal tab at the bottom, top of the wick pressed into the holding groove. Slide the Tube down through the slot in the Holder Ring. Sit the Ring on the jar rim, press the Tube down so the wick tab bonds to the jar base, hold for a few seconds, then lift the Tube out. The Ring stays put while you pour.

One Wick Holder Ring and one Wick Placement Tube, matched to the jar version you select. Reusable across every batch. Wicks, wick stickers, wax and jars are not included.

Jar-specific fit

The Wick Helper is made to match specific jar styles and sizes. Pick your jar from the options on this page. The tool sits flush on the rim of that jar — it will not fit other jar shapes correctly, so check before you order. Wick compatibility

Designed for standard pre-tabbed cotton and paper-cored wicks (CD, ECO, HTP and similar). The holding groove is sized for braided cotton wick stems. Wood wicks and oversized specialist wicks may not fit.

Honest limitations

Printed in PETG, which means visible layer lines on close inspection — this is a working tool, not a display piece. PETG softens around 80°C. Typical candle pour temperatures (around 55–75°C) sit well within range, but don't pour hot wax directly onto the tool — pour around it. Let any wax splashes cool before cleaning.

Care

Wash with warm soapy water and wipe dry. Not dishwasher safe. Keep away from heat guns, open flame, and prolonged direct sunlight.
